The Hedonist International
- wants joy, pleasure, enjoyment and a self-determined life in freedom for all people!
- does not see hedonism as the engine of a dull, materialistic fun society, but as an opportunity to overcome the existing.
- is not an organisation, but an idea that everyone can shape themselves. No-one is responsible for actions except those involved. Hedonists organise themselves into a wide variety of alliances in order to take targeted and non-targeted action.
- recognises that the path to a beautiful life is rocky and winding. There is no single panacea, but many. Ideas are born everywhere in people's heads. There is no ideology, no master plan, no wise president, no leader, but rather a process of awareness to which every person can contribute with their ideas and their actions.
- does not know how the goals can be achieved, only that something has to happen to realise freedom and enjoyment for all.
- is convinced that politics and action can be fun. Where the hierarchy begins, the fun ends. Where the fun ends, the hierarchy begins.
- is convinced that he wants to live in a world in which highly developed technology enables the whole of humanity to live a life without forced labour and exploitation, but in pure devotion to the arts and beautiful things.
- relies on the co-operation and free association of individuals with equal rights.
- recognises that even small approaches to the goals of hedonism mean an improvement in the starting position. They expand the possibilities for future disputes.
- creates temporary hedonistic zones and situations to anticipate their ideas and goals.
- hopes for smiling self-reflection in all these disputes. It is the only way to prevent taking yourself too seriously.
- wants happy togetherness, anarchy, the ideas of Epicurus, colourful joy, sensuality, debauchery, friendship, justice, tolerance, freedom, sexual permissiveness, sustainability, peace, free access to information, art, cosmopolitan existence, a world without borders and discrimination and all beautiful things - which are not realised today and above all not for all people.
- wants joy, freedom, everything!
There is plenty of room for ideas: do what you want, not what you have to!
