HOW TO GET THERE

As usual, the location will only be sent to participants by email shortly before the congress begins, together with the ticket.

If you’re traveling from farther away, we recommend planning your journey towards Berlin when booking trains or other transport. From there, the congress can be reached in about 1.5 hours. Please refrain from asking for the exact location beforehand and treat it confidentially if you already know it.

The reason is that the congress has limited capacity. This approach helps prevent people from traveling to the venue without a ticket on the off chance and then having to be turned away. There will be no tickets available at the door.

Travel by Train, Bus & Shuttle

Information on how to reach the congress by public transport will follow soon. This form of travel is supported through cross-subsidization from the campervan fee.

Due to limited space, arriving by private car is generally not possible.

Travel by Train and Bicycle

It is also possible to travel by train and bicycle. (Please note: during peak travel times, bicycle spaces on trains may be limited.) From the train station, it is a few kilometres by bike to the congress venue.

Travel by Campervan & Ride-Sharing

Arriving by private car is not possible this year due to limited parking and for climate policy reasons. Exceptions are vans, campervans and caravans that have paid the campervan fee. The number of campervan spots on site is limited.

If you are traveling by campervan, please offer your ride in the ride-sharing platform, check existing requests, and fill up the vehicles.

Important: Arrival by Car Not Possible

Arriving by private car is not possible this year, except for people with physical disabilities.

Anyone who nevertheless comes by car should expect to look for parking several kilometres away.

There really are no parking spaces near the venue, and the congress team will turn cars away already at the access road. Dropping off luggage “just for a moment” is also not possible.

Please use the train & shuttle options or the ride-sharing platform. Individual travel by car would create unnecessary stress for everyone this year.
